Approval of Weight Loss Pills in the UKVIP

The UK regulatory authority has approved the semaglutide daily pill (Wegovy) for weight loss. This is the first GLP-1 receptor agonist pill approved for weight loss and weight management in the UK. Treatment will need to be evaluated first by the National Institute of Health and Care (NICE) before it can be used in the NHS.
